Re: dessert

White chocolate sauce with berries. You will need 1/2 pound white chocolate 1/2 cup water 5 berries of choice. Over a boiler melt white chocolate. Add water and mix until no lumps remain, serve the warm chocolate sauce over the berries.

Take either a homemade brownie or from the grocery store, top it off with some vanilla ice cream, warm carmel sauce and walnuts.

Grilled fruits like LD mentioned are always easy and yummy.

This is a little heavy on the waist but khair, recipe for bread pudding.
2 cups bread crumbs
3 cups boiled milk
1/4 cup melted margarine
1/2 cup sugar
3 eggs, beaten
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 cup raisins
Put the bread crumbs in a pan and pour boiled milk over it. When cool, stir in all the other ingredients. Bake slowly, uncovered for about 1 hour. Let the top get crispy. You can mix in fruit, nuts or choclate.

There is tons and tons of different dessert ideas.

I know you're tired of soojie halwa, but this one is worth trying. I don't really like halwa, but this orange halwa is one of my favorite desserts, though you can't have it often, it's fattening :(

Maalti ka halwa

  • 3 oranges
  • 3/4 cup caster sugar
  • 3 table spoons ghee
  • 8 badaam
  • 1/2 cup of soojie
  • 2 green cardamoms
  • 850 ml milk

-squeeze the juice out of the oranges and add sugar to it
- heat ghee and add sliced almonds, fry for a minute
- add soojie and fry till it's brown
- crush cardamoms and add to the pan with milk, simmer till mixture thickens
- add orange juice and cook till mixture thickens
- serve hot or cold
