what i dont get PA though is if they're planting weapons why wouldnt they plant weapons that look like iranian weapons. i mean writing fancy farsi **** on the weapons sends a more powerful message to joe american doesnt it? it doesnt even have to be farsi, just squiggly stuff?

Why don't they just bomb the crap out of Iran and get it over with? We know it's in Bush's plans, so why the delay? If it's because they are trying to build a case, it's not working.

^^ USA can certainly bomb Iran but the problem is Iran can unleash Hezbollah in Lebanon, South America and Europe.
Price of Oil will go up, China and Russia will get pissed. Iran can make trouble in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Not with Robert Gates running the Pentagon, nor with Cheney sidelined and totally stripped of all credibility, nor with Bush with a 30% approval rating and not with a democratically controlled senate and congress
I am not saying it cant happen but the odds of it are very remote

the attack on iran will be under the democrats. there is just no way i see this happening in the short term, it'll take a couple of years.

guy just the grammar and design quality of the site tell me that its iranian, no way are cia that good if they couldnt put squiggly on the weapons but managed to pull off an impression this total.

Iran is going to release a wave of terror if their facilities are bombed? So the world becomes united against them and taking out their program nuke program is justifed, doubt it.
Multiply sites protected by updated anti aircraft weapons and many which are underground make it a difficult mission. If things heat up expect the U.S. to push through with the "Divine Strake" test which should tell the miltary what type of nuke yeild is needed to take out out underground facilties. I don't see such a weapon being used in a pre-emptive attack but if Iran responses to any attack with success on a populous center then it could be order on the basis that Iran is willing to stike innocents and it is a life or death situation that they remove their nuclear program in any way possible. That said I don't think any of this is imminent and diplomacy can work.

neither would pose much of a problem for the US. iran’s military is grossly inferior to that of the US. iran would fall to the americans in a short amount of time.
the big difference is between an invasion and an occupation. the US is in no position to occupy iran. if there was an attack or invasion, there would be no occupation afterwards.

It took 6 Million troops to occupy Germany in WWII with 4.5 Russian 1 million american and another 500,000 british
Germany in 1945 and Iran today have the same population size of 70 million.
and Iran is twice as big as germany.
USA simply cannot occupy Iran
