Ladies, I just said Yes! We picked Shab-e-Meraj (June 6 or June 7) in Karachi as the date of the Nikaah. All the other ceremonies like Mehendi, Mayoun, Shaadi, Valima will be done in the States when he comes over. I DESPERATELY need your help with ideas and venues for the Nikkah dinner.
The actual Nikkah sigining will take place in a masjid, but the dinner that evening…what do I do! Its so short notice I dont think I will find anything. I’m so stressed out I dont even want to get married anymore. I’m looking for a tent/marquee style setup, no more than 200 guests, would like to use my own caterers, and want to do this on a budget. Someone suggested I put a tent on a playground…what does this mean? Someone else suggested I rent a banquet hall. What do you suggest…

Venue :In Karachi near National Cricket Stadium you may found JUNAGHAR Lawn full fill your needs in minimum budget.
Approx Cost would be 20000 Rs to 25000 Rs if ur a good negotiator he will discount I have done 2 to 3 function's there.
Location National Stadium Behind SHAZ.
Pakwan depends on Chicken rates and your budget 2 if your menu is Chicken Biryani, Chicken Kharari , Roti Shermal Rayat, Labay Sheerin etc for 200 people I think your budget should be around 25 to 30 thousand.

Hello, my Nikkah ceremony took.place at Arena Karachi. They have a hall for small events and cater 250 ppl in it maximum.(they also have bigger halls) it was a great venue. There cost included food,which was fantastic, Stage decor which was also reasonable and u can always get it fone better and table decor etc. They also offered a photographer n videographer in the package which we had already booked so we excluded that. I highly recommend the venue. Food was exvellent. Let me know if u wana see it in pictures.

I suggest getting it all done from one vendor. Hiring caterrs n decorators will be a hassle n siruation. these days in karachi when atleast two days hartal is there each week you ll get yourself in trouble. I just needee to pay an advance amount and select the decor theme n stage decor. Rest was all peacefully done n it was done really well. Rest of the amount was paid on event day.

Thank you to everyone who replied. Striker17, Thank you but I looked at pictures of Junaghar Lawn and did NOT like it. It looks so shabby, but I know I said budget and didn't clarify so let me do that now. I think maximum budget, including food decorations and hall/lawn rentals, I want to keep within 200,000. Does anyone have pricing for these halls/lawns....

i would try to keep it in the defense/clifton area if at all possible. those tend to be the safest in the city, generally speaking, and since all they need in pakistan is an excuse, i'm afraid shab e miraj might be another one for hangama's and violence :/
