Okay its going to be a funny one but i have noticed this.Why do we desis think that way?I mean is it only the case with desis or other people too who think this way.Like in coed you need to interact with guys.Like i have a friend , she has this XYZ friend(of course a guy) he is chivalrous,competent student , a bit shy too…now they are like best buddies.They share their assignments,text msg each other.so we gals often tease her by saying “umm ummm, whots up gal”? and she is like buzz off, we are just friends:D
Yeah its right ..(or aint it?)I believe they are friends but some people donot KWIM.People are liberal these days ,they understand this relationship.From us its a fun kinda teasing but some people (esp our “auntiez n uncles” think the other way)..

Also, in my university environment (USA), if there's a guy and girl who hang out w/ each other a lot and are always together, everyone wonders/assumes if there's something going on. No one thinks they're just good friends. And these people are white, not desi. The thing is that there usually IS something going on, i.e. there's some sort of attraction either from 1 party or mutual. Few times a guy/girl pair is 100% platonic.
