For people in and outside of Pakistan and India, would you agree that one generalization which has some truth to it: desis stare at others, to the point of making them feel uncomfortable.
Now, I’m not saying it’s all desis - but I find that enough Pakistani and Indian men and women will taar or stare at others to make it a stereotype. In my limited travels to other places where I should have stood out because my skin colour was different, I’ve not felt the constant gaze. So why in Pakistan and India or by people of Pakistani and Indian origin?
so many invaders invaded our land that we become paranoid as soon as we see any outsider…that instinct is in our genes…
so dont try to mutate our genes…
Its alright Sehrysh, all us good looking people face this problem.
Oh, is that why? I guess rather than be creeped out I should be flattered.
But humour me and answer seriously for just a sec - is it or is it not true that a lot of desis stare at others a lot - to the point of making the object of the stare uncomfortable?
Uh huh…not really! well yah i mean they do stare n all but its nt that its a desi thing, come visit kuwait for a week and u’ll know what the real batemezi is all about :halo:. the thing is i hear these same kuwaits in pak complaining how ill mannered pakis r, how they cnt follow traffic rules blah blah but i see the same and even worst things happening here but these same pakistanis r ok with it tolerating all this stuff cuz hey, they cnt afford to say anything to the kuwaitis unless they want to be kicked out . The not only stare but feel no calms about coming close to u rubbing their shoulder against you and uttering some jubberish without havin a brain that the other person may or may not even understand yr language … and they dnt care if u r alone or with family, they wl do what they want to do! bloody manhos log.
Could it be in the west folks may just appear not to be staring. Most of this could be attributed to cultutal differences. Desis dont say excuse me everytime we burp
In Pakistan, there is not so much to do. Life is like being a water buffalo under a tree. You eat. You chew. You stare at other buffalo. You stare at people. At dogs, and donkeys and crows. You chew some more. Eat some more ghaas. Stare some more. Have a pee. Have a nap. Chew some more.

Well in Pak it's more of a case of a halwai who is never satisfied despite making tons of gulab jamuns.
