What’s up with so many online clothing sellers not pricing their joras? Did they even make it themselves or selling third party? I’m also seeing a lot of overpriced materials. I’m not pointing anyone out…but if you’re selling something, it’s common sense to put a price on it for all to see. It’s a major waste of everyone’s time to go through all the trouble of taking great photos of your work…possibly even paying your models/photographers/website designers and then not even saying how much your outfits cost.
Re: "Designers" not pricing joras
Agreed. It is very irritating when price is not there....most of the designers from pak think money grows on trees here and we will pay whatever.
Re: "Designers" not pricing joras
Agreed! They expect us to PM them for prices, why can't they just display them here? Of the 20-30 outfits they post, it's so inconvenient to paste the link for each to find out about the prices. That's why I don't even bother asking when I don't see a price. I am sure they are losing customers due to this.
Re: "Designers" not pricing joras
^ Exactly. I wrote a similar complaint on Karma's FB page and a few days later, they removed the comment. I mean...how rude! I even said that it seems like you decide the price based on where the client is located.
It's an unethical business practise and unfortunately, it's very common.
I think outfits shud be arranged price-wise... cluster all the $200 one's and the $300 ones then the heavier ones!
Re: "Designers" not pricing joras
^ That's a good suggestion.
Re: "Designers" not pricing joras
awesome suggestion Gina! to be honest, i havent written prices as mine change. my designers arde in pakistan so thde ollar value goes up and down and i dont want to price tag something as 400 when at a certain given time we can do it for 300. BUT GREAT idea to cluster! i think im gonna do some rearranging now :)
Re: "Designers" not pricing joras
Hmm. If an outfit that is priced at $400 can go down to $300 within a year, that means that pakistani currency is being devalued at a spiraling, out-of-control rate, and the country is facing double digit inflation. Hopefully, this scenario is, and will be, quite unlikely.
To be fair, I do understand why some designers don't want to post prices. They don't want another designer offering the same outfit at a lower price. And also there are those who sit and complain about the prices of the designers when they have no intention to buy. That is even more annoying I think. No one is forcing anyone.
But it does make it more difficult, and frankly, more annoying, for consumers like me, who have to email a seller for price, because it creates a feeling of obligation, which I doubt any consumer appreciates. Prices with the pictures would definitely be greatly appreciated.
Re: "Designers" not pricing joras
Yeah, ti was an exxageration 400-300 not so much but some of the prices have gone from 300 to 270, etc. it's usually that bit of difference :)
Re: "Designers" not pricing joras
So the two I'm looking at might be cheaper too! haha. ;) I've got expensive taste, just not the wealthy hubby to bankroll me.
Re: "Designers" not pricing joras
actually right now the dolalr rate is good i think so yes :) but thats why i dont post general prices. but i think from now on i will
Re: "Designers" not pricing joras
Most countries sell their items in local currency. Wh don't our high and mighty fashion designers do the same?
Re: "Designers" not pricing joras
PF, the pricing will be more stable if you quote prices in Rupees.
Re: "Designers" not pricing joras
ok~
PF and the rest that are doing amazing work I only wish u more sales and customers! Members hesitate PM'ing and asking for individual prices, if u arrange them price-wise a member can select ones within their budget!
Good luck to all of you!
Re: "Designers" not pricing joras
Thank you Gina!
i think if the rate is changing, then advertise a clearance/special sale section.
pf- u seem genuine in learning and growing. good luck in your business. :)
