i think you need to go and see for yourself to make up your mind.. i didnt think i was going to go for him till i actually saw his designs and work in person... breathtaking!

yes i did, i got a farshee gharara (a gharara with a trail), those start from 3 lakh, if you want something simpler i think he can make it for 2 lakh

trust me searchingg, sourskittle is right. i felt EXACTLY the same way, I didnt even think I would go with Dr. Haroon until I went to my appointment and everything about him and his work was so different than what I had experienced at other places...his kaam was intricate and worth the price and MORE, not to mention he had the demeanor and know-how of an experienced designer. It wasn't like with other places, he could basically look at me and tell me what would suit my frame, my complexion, and my features. Before that appointment, I always considered myself a very picky and fussy bride to be, but his experience put me at ease and at the end of the day, i felt 100% comfortable trusting him and putting everything in his hands...he even chose my mehndi jora color combo, and he was right about the colors suiting me.
Anyways, my point is, you already have an appointment, even if sourskittle posts pictures, its not going to help you make a decision...just wait until you go to him yourself and see the stuff in person. its the same as judging makeup in a photo....i've seen gorgeous makeup in photos that looked really AWFUL in person and vice versa. joras are something though which need to look nice in person...some designers make outfits which shine in pics but the kaam is gaudy and cheap looking in person.

ure right from the other thread, i dont want to ruin a nice outfit with bad makeup!! have u heard of shamain for makeup? bunto recommends her and my friend got ready from her at her valima and the makeup was amazzzzzing!

I definitely have, I've seen a bride whose Shamain makeup I liked but my friend who went to her recently didnt have a good experience. Just make sure the foundation/base is good, most well known MUAs (excluding sabs) rarely do a bad job on eyes or lips, so I think the way your skin looks is the most important. see if she gives the option of doing airbrush foundation, that would be amazing. a lot of shamain brides are in Amean J's portfolio as well, i remember seeing a lot of his pictures in her potrfolio. i would check out altaf at nabilas and cistre as well...no matter who you end up going with, choose your MUA based on people you have personally seen and reviews by people who've dealt with them as opposed to just portfolios. that'll give you a better sense :) good luck, i'm sure you'll make a gorgeous bride!
btw I LOVE that pishwas, wow!!! he does gorgeous work whether its gold or silver kaam...i'll have to go back for formal wear :D

@fasaadi: thanks!! i might be giving my valima outfit to dr haroon as well, my MIL wants me to wear a peshwaz, do you think it'll look nice? dr. haroon also recommended it for me... i'm not sure, though after seeing the one i posted up there i'm starting to think they can look elegant!

lol yeah i was wondering if it’s a common thing and if it’ll look nice, i’ve never worn it and only ever seen one bride wearing one (it was buntos n very pretty) so i’m concerned it’ll look odd.. i just don’t want to look like i’m out of a scene of devdas! (referring to the maar dala song, first time i saw a pretty peshwas

still trying to see wht makes Dr. Haroon's joras different from Bunto. So far Ive noticed that a lot of his joras have that open front with the kaam going down the middle from the gala on down....
I’m getting this made Inshallah, I am very indecisive about the colors though. Turn it into a beige/gold or keep it the same? I’m changing the kameez and dupatta slightly too..
He has to be the nicest designer I’ve ever spoken to..
