Experience with them?
Re: Designer Destination @ Face Book.
Designer Destination = nonameismyname
one word... "horrible" good luck
Re: Designer Destination @ Face Book.
^ wow really?
i have actually ordered from them, two dresses...
worn one twice, this heavy umar sayeed dress...
and one sana safinaz one for my friend as a wedding gift and she has worn it once too...
I quiet appreciate their service, she was very friendly and sweet.. and i even invited her to join GS, she said she might not, but she has now i think...
What did you order and why was it not nice? please elaborate.
Re: Designer Destination @ Face Book.
u can search the threads about nonameismyname. thats all i have to say. thanks
Re: Designer Destination @ Face Book.
^ yeah i just did, i am amazed that it was so misread!
rawsilk will tear apart if either it catches even a little moisture or if yiu have big thighs like mine! no offense but its absurd to corner someone like tht... and i dont find any other issue apart from this? and its no issue in fact...
Anyways its good that i opened this thread:
To me:
The service was very sweet, she was prompt with her replies, what i ordered was what i got, the stitching was great in terms of piping, finishing, shameez quality etc...
The work was impeccible, nothing wrong wth it.. my delivery once was late since i have orderes a kaftan and it was complicated to stitch...
I fully recommend designer destination to everyone! and this too ONLY after having worn her dress twice! Also on another note i just ordered a sana safinaz design and i cannot wait to get it!
Re: Designer Destination @ Face Book.
^ so funny....you started the thread asking if anyone had any experience with them as if you wanted to find out before ordering and when the person shared with you the thread.... now you are all praises for designer destination and their work quality......when you already worked with her and had a great experience then why did you ask?
Re: Designer Destination @ Face Book.
^ lol :-)
Re: Designer Destination @ Face Book.
^ so i can share it with other people, quiet obvious?
But when you have set pre-notions of something there is no room for other opinions,
Again... @ shazzy and @talkfashion i still don't get what the problem was? I have asked you guys to share what problem you had with noname or Designer Destination? Lets make this thread constructive rather than a LOL here and a SO FUNNY there?
Re: Designer Destination @ Face Book.
What does it matter what my opinion is U have had good experience from her & u like her work so carry on... :)

Re: Designer Destination @ Face Book.
^ i have as i said before, i searched with keyword nonameismyname and all i can find is 'one rawsilk shalwar' and NO IMAGES of even tht? i am clueless why such a big issue was created out of one shalwar? of a fabric that DOES rip, ?
I am in awe of the database at gupshup but its shocking to find out people being so violent verbally... and or no apparent reason?
Re: Designer Destination @ Face Book.
I cant be asked to go into the whole debate again! u believe what u like oh I wasnt the only person who had a problem with the quality of the salwaar after one wear..
Re: Designer Destination @ Face Book.
^ u make me chukkle... but yeah i shall believe my OWN first hand experience,
apart from that i am not disputing the problem of silk ripping apart, if one has heavy thighs, too much movement and moisture - it's normal! I have had that problem with a dress from sobia nazir!?? and her staff said the same thing, only i was open to these facts and got another shalwar from a cousin in pakistan...
seriously one should be very careful making assumptions or accusations towards infidividuals.. calling them HORRIBLE.. GS to me is a supportive forum where atleast the mods follow logic.
Anyways, i back to the topic, have ordered another dress - and i shall be sharing images for GS members, and again if anyone else has had experience apart from the 'shalwar comtroversy!!' lmao! please do share :)
Re: Designer Destination @ Face Book.
it wasn't only shalwar issue, i know someone who had ordered clothes from her and wasn't satisfy. I guess she has learned her lesson.
Re: Designer Destination @ Face Book.
^ lol, hear urself... hun! who is this other ghost person?
I feel weird defending someone so intently but the fact is to properly DEFAME someone without facts is amazing! And i can really say all this because i have ordered something from them and it has been great! no problems at all!
ONE QUESTION: HAVE YOU EVER ORDERED FROM THEM?
IF NO: Then you seriously need to reconsider your opinions...
I have contacted DD about this issue, and she was civil enough to say it was all a misunderstanding and was taken to a level where it got personal... and she was nice enough not to blame anyone! and i am glad i have seen all this on GS, as in all the history is still present, anyone with fabric knowledge can see whats going on...
AGAIN: I FULLY RECOMMEND DESIGNER DESTINATION! If any one wants to hae detailed info. or any kind of questions about dealing with DD please feel free to private msg me!
Re: Designer Destination @ Face Book.
well, ghost is my friend :p after her experience with nonameismyname , so i decided not to order.
Sorry if this is offtopic but what do you mean rawsilk can’t take moisture? I threw my rawsilk outfit in the washer (cold setting), it came out just fine. ![]()
Re: Designer Destination @ Face Book.
^ hey ... i meant moisture when you wear it...
for example when the rawsilk rubs with your thighs and there is a bit of moisture for example prepiration, then the rawsilk sometimes starts getting 'wrinkles' and if you dont take care of it and wear it with care.. then eventually it rips by the end of the evening or with the next wear...
this usually happens with either shalwars, or fitted trousers.
Re: Designer Destination @ Face Book.
Are you talking about pure 60 or 80 gram raw silk?

Well u have given a very scientific reason my sis usually wears RAWSILK a lot almost every second outfit she has she has a rawslk trouser and mostly her trousers are well fitted she never got a chance of such thing and she has a prespiration problem too.....any way may be it would happened with u but again im a bit surprise.
