Hi ladies,

I am looking to go Lahore in December this year to order my bridal lehnga for my wedding in June next year. I am looking to get a bridal lehnga in the 1.5 lakh to 2 lakh range max. From my research so far, Karma seems to be the best place to go for that price point.

I wanted advice as to when to call them and book an appointment for december. Also, what other designers should I look at when I’m in Lahore? I don’t have much time there, only 2 and a half weeks. Thanks!!!

Yup Karma wl be the best option for you considering the price factor and i believe its the only known label that would have a bridal outfit for this much. You may try lajwanti too :)

But with Karma, do make sure you have enough time for your order cuz they do take alot of time as they have alot of orders and also cuz they dont have very good management. We have been there regular customers from start but this last time in dec we had severe issues with our orders so make sure u give them enough time and have someone here make sure they make as u order and do all the changes u wud ask them for.

Thanks for the responses guys! What is the average price for a bridal lehnga these days? I could spend up to 2.5 lakh but don't want to spend more than that as it's something I'm only likely to wear once really. More than that seems like a waste of money to me. I wanted to go with HSY until I heard that his bridals start at 5 lakh! lol I think that's outrageous.

Maham - do you think I should call them right now to get an appointment for December or wait? Also, I will order in mid December and wedding is in June in Toronto inshallah. I will get someone pick up the lehnga for me and have it brought over here. Should I ask them to have ready by mid April?

Oh and @ Raania - how good is Fahad Husayn for bridals? My fiance went to the same high school as him in Pakistan and likes him but I am hesitant to go to him for bridal as he is a young designer. Does anyone have experience with him or has seen his work in person?

I like his work from the photos and I think he fits your price range, thats why I suggested him. haven't seen the work in person though
If you were in Karachi I would recommend Sana Safinaz but I also think there might be places in Lahore which take their orders too
Oh and there's Maria B in Lahore too

I just found Mehdi online: http://www.mohdmehdi.com/ I love some of the bridals on the website! Has anyone had any experience with him or knows of his work & price range?

also try Sarah Salman in Lahore. Her prices are quite reasonable, she is very nice/polite, and her collection is nice.
