dear Gs, I need suggestions for clothes for a desi wedding on yacht, I do want to wear desi kapray, but I have never been on a yacht for a wedding let alone desi wedding, ideas, pics will be much much appreciated…

The first thing that comes to mind is sensible shoes; cute flat slippers (that won't slip while boarding and unboarding)
Dress to be outdoors, so depending on the season, weather, and time of day go for something light for summer or heavy for winter, and expect wind
I would do statement headpiece or necklace, bold but lightweight earrings, less bangles.
A flowy but not ruffly type of outfit.
A half updo, to enjoy the breeze in my hair! ok...im getting carried away now.
Don't forget to take a camera for scenic pics and awesome memories!

I can't picture a good desi outfit. Members here have fantastic ideas, I'm sure someone may be able to help. And I'm looking forward to others' ideas as well!

I've seen women wearing Saari on yacht btw, its not that terrible, especially if its a ceremony :)

It looks better in my head than it sounds in the post. But I'm picturing a desi-western fusion type look....like a short kurti with flowy sharara-pants. The embroidery being mostly on the top...and the pants being more simple. I'm imagining white. And some badass earrings.

There is a reason for that. Even if they fall aboard, they will float. With desi kapray and jewellery, you will sink faster.
