Desi tailor in Toronto area? Help!

Hi guppies,

I desperately need to find a good desi tailor (preferably a woman) who can take my measurements. Does anyone know of any desi tailors in the Toronto area? Mississauga, Brampton, Milton, Scarborough…any of these cities or surrounding areas would be fine with me. If you know of anyone please let me know! Thank you!

Hi, I'm in the same boat as you guys, was trying to find a good tailor and came across a lady named Nusrat Agha in the Mississagua/Brampton area, she advertises on kijiji (the only ad on their for this type of stuff) and has a website (desi tailors). Her prices on the site are completely inaccurate, she has A LOT of hidden costs. When I asked her about the differential in prices, she started making up nonsense excuses and got aggravated. When I told her that she should provide accurate information on her site, she began to use racial slurs and physically attacked me. She was screaming, hitting and pushing me making obscene and profane remarks at me her daughter had to come and restrain her.. Needless to say I asked for my money back and she ended up keeping my blouse material. I ended up with some scratches and bruises and the cops were called. BE VERY VERY careful. Lesson learned and I'd just like to forewarn ANYONE who comes in contact with this lady to be WARY of ever using her services. THINK TWICE it's not worth it!

Hi Afshi,

Never really discussed "business" with her so I am not sure. I will check with her and get back to you. If by "desiging" you mean designing clothes then she doesn't do that. However, if you show her a design then she will be able to copy it. She has those professional industrial machines so her work is seamless.
