Hey, I just happened to come across ur post after doing a search for utsav sarees... i was planning to order a sari or a lehnga off of utsav but was looking around the internet to see if ppl have had any bad experiences with them.. and after seeing ur pics, the suit u received looks exactly like the one in the pic from the site.. I have read bad reviews but very few good reviews.. were u satisfied? and also how long did they actually take to send u ur suit? I live in Canada.. don't know if that will be a problem for shipping or not? I read somewhere they take forever (longer than they tell u) to ship the items. ?

alright..so i'll explain you
this suit i ordered from them was pre-stitched..and it was from the express section (shipping in 2 dayz)
after 3 weeks my suit was still not shipped but i sent them an email..and theyr eply very quickly,and they told me there was some problem,they apologised and sent it to me after 1 week,so overall it took 1 month
and i was satisfied by the suit..the fabric's really good
and now recently i ordered another suit again from the express section and in 2 weeks it was stitched and shipped..i received it exactly 2 weeks after placing my order
and again i was veryy sastisfied
and yeah before ordering i also read a lotttttt of bad reviews..but i still tried and i'm quite happy,and will keep ordering from utsav
but i can't garantee anything:)
it'll be good if you order some sarees and see the result before ordering the lehnga
and yeah one more thing,they reply to your every single mail veryyy quickly
so the service is good also:)

I've seen two really nice dress style kameezes on quite a few different sites that I really like but now I don't know who the original designer actually is. The price from the original designer might also be wayyy out of my budget but I'd still really like to know who they are by.

If you type that in to google it'll have links to the Indus Mart web site where they are selling them from £182 and £315 respectively.
Does anyone know who the original designer is and if they have a web site?
Also, has anyone actually ordered these dresses? What was your experience like? I love the designs but wouldn't want it if it wasn't going to be made to a decent quality. And I certainly don't want to get ripped off!

here is my review of two items you mentioned..
Pink anarkali : we have made many but do get complaints some time due to fitting issues due to pleats around waistline and top hip line.
in actual these cover both but in real customer sometime dont like it due to their size.
remember model who is wearing it almost zero size.
embroidery: although good, but personally not my favourite .
overall: dress looks good in real as well but in my honest opinion dress feel is inflated due to photography.
Sea green 19171 : i do like it and if you are comfortable with kundan sequins work you would like this one.
on bodice much of the work done is in sequins and kundans and rhinestones, whereas on dress threads, kora, sequins, beads rhinestones etc.
please note we dont use traditional kundans which are stick with glue or some other materials but use the one which can be stitched so that dont tear off after a dry clean they can be in glass or very fine plastic.
overall: i like the feel and fall of the dress.
just make sure your measures you provide are correct and expect the best.
please note that review is based on my persoanl preference and it isnt necessary ours match.

i had just seen these both pictures on some other website and they were offering it about the same price too. but as i am in this field too so its my honest opinion that it isnt really that much expensive or is it?
(DI Sea Green #19171) - this one's beautifull but 450 $ is more then enough.

I have had both these dresses made.
The pink one I had made by Indusmart and sea green one I had made by Kapray Wagera.
Pink one- It just does not have that ethereal look that it has in the pic. And as mentioned, the fit is not flattering for most people. Also, for my dress one side was (the very end) was 2 inches longer than the other side. In addition the sleeves were not sheer , but lined; and I just didn't care for some of the materials used in the the kaam (my personal taste)- there were these big silver pieces (don't know what they are called) that were just gaudy.
On a side note, I also ordered DI Maroon Chiffon #18831 from Indusmart and that one looks exactly like the pic. Unfortunately, the bottom of the leg opening was so small it doesn't go over my calf.
To their credit, Indusmart offered to fix the problem and even offered to pay for shipping costs to ship it back- but I got really busy and never ended up sending it back, and after several months (when things lightened up) it seemed too late to send it back. So now they are just hanging in my closet.
Sea green one- I had the same problem as the pink anarkali, for some reason one side was considerably longer than the other; again the Seller offered to rectify. Otherwise it was nice.
I swear i am not a lopsided person.
