How many of you look for desi restaurants when out in another city/town or just out sight seeing? I know I do.

thats so true.......

I usually go out to lunch on Mondays with this Gora At Work and we discovered a desi restaurant last month .......now we only always go there for lunch even if I suggest that he could try some other place if he wants he always picks the same desi joint !

I mean we also have our desi fast food outlets in addition to the curry houses and we love it. Why go to Pizza Hut and McDonalds when we have places like Rajas Pizzas and Mahmoods.

Yessir I do.. but I end up going with some friends who love to try halal chinese or other non-desi food cuz in my city we are limited even with desi restaurants.

i ate mehmood's once it was pretty nice
and this once place called uk fried chicken or something like that

In NYC "finding" a desi restaurant is never an issue. There are halal carts on every street corner it seems.
