I was close to being ostracized by my family for keeping long hair. A few months [ok a little more than few] the person I had been going to for my haircut moved to another city & then I moved too, so it’s been a while I had done anything to ‘em. They were not Bon Jovi in the 80s long, but they had reached my shoulders, covered my ears & hid my eyes. I never had long hair before, always had the good boy military buzz and I don’t doubt that they don’t look good on me.
BUT the response I got from my family was soo shocking. I have spent the last 2-3 months in constant abuse. Everyday I will have to hear comments, my Mom refused to go to the grocery store with me, Dad had to give me his mean looks … I even found out they had turned away guests cos they didn’t think I was presentable enough. :-/
My brother is growing his hair right now so we’ll see what he resembles after it is fully grown.
I think if you keep it looking proper - either in a pony tail, and not covering your eyes and getting into your food when you eat when you leave it open, then it is not that bad.
My brother's hair has been long for about a year -- it's curly and I think it suits him at a medium length. Other guys I know have been growing their hair too. But I don't know if it looks that great on straight hair.
I had long hair once. But I kept getting notes from honies like " teri zulfon se khelungi main, tujhko baahon main le lungi main". Was enough to spook me out. Thus I went ahead and got myself a bad hair cut.
I get confused, guys with long look like girls from a afar until you look closely. I always have to give a second look to verify them. I am definately not a fan of long hair on guys I hate it:yukh:
i'm sorry but they look like girls :p my brother [younger] wanted to have long hair but my parents vetoed the idea :D he still harbors the desire deep down in his heart tho :D
Thank you for sharing the valuable information on your personal preferences about men with long hair. It’s not about weather you consider it cool or not, but it’s about US having the right to do what we want to do! It’s about freedom & the unnecessary oppression that we, the masraqi marad, suffer on the hands of their family!!!
