Even though islamically, girls have as much rights over their parents as boys. So it doenst make sense.

This is exactly why I stay away from the typical "drama/soap opera watching" women and I have no plans to mingle with them after marriage either.

in regards to the "allah aap ko beta dey" comment....

This one aunty who has 3 grown boys (and no daughters) told me "sons are only your sons til they get married....daughters will ALWAYS be your daughters til the very end". this other aunty sitting with her who also has only 3 sons agreed and said "sometimes I wish I had a daughter to sit with and talk to...my sons are always busy with work and social life....its just not the same..."

I guess people are starting to appreciate having daughters more these days.

I always say to remarks like that , Allah Healthy baby deh ,dua kareinn...and smile..they have nothing else to say:D

This is what happens when girls are raised to look forward to their wedding day and to marry well, but have little more to live for and define who they are. They are filled with regrets, frustrations, nostalgia and too much free time. Seeing others’ happiness really pisses them off. The only way to raise themselves up is to put others down.

Thats just soo true..They should “Get a life” rather then try to make other’s lives miserable…and sometimes I am amazed that they r like the namazi pehreiz gar ones…Really Understand the religion b4 practising it!!..Ok now I know I went too far..akhar har kissi ne appni appni kabar mein jana hai:halo: …
The last remark…I have seen too much of these…really Even with supposedly their best friends…their jokes r putting each other down…in a mean way…

question: are we talking about aunties that just meet each other? like say the uncle goes to his langotiya yaar's house after like 10 years, and takes the missus with him and the missus meet for the first time? or are we talking about aunties that have been together for ever?

because if it is the first case, and it was me, i would talk about shaan masala and the number of kids and what they do. i would rather not bare my soul to another lady. same thing right now. if i was to meet you right now, i would talk about crappy professors and what's the latest show on TV than all the mess my life is in or something like that.

:) ..I know we as humans r egocentrics...we r in the middle of our own universes...But I am talking about the general atmosphere..Its like a language,,that u donot understand when u r pretty knew..Also dependent on your personality...but again me generalizing right there...more frustrated then mere humor:D

I dont think people like that will enjoy my company cause I never discuss such things. hehe.

My mom is the same way (she doesnt gossip) and she never gets invited to anything (hardly ever).

And Munni..I would say that u have your head on straight...forget abt people like these and live freeeeeee:D
