Re: Desi larkian need to...
so first u try to broaden the scope of the word....redefine the word education to make it expereince-based and what not, and when that fails u want to narrow it down to harvard education?
Are u kidding me? Have u read anything of what I wrote? I agree with Cat-woman's df.
so if they did not go off to greece to get educated, it meant arabs werent educated?....cutie pie, there is something called ability to read and write and do basic math and some astrology? nahin? woh kisi koa nahin aati thi arab lands mai..
Very few people at the time knew how to write. Very few. Even most guys did not know. And the fact of the matter is, that even the Prophet didn't know how to write, but he encouraged people to go as far as China to gain knowledge. He went to the few scribes who did know how to write scripture. At the time, they were writing verses on cow-hide, and barks of wood. If the Prophet was against gaining knowledge, he would have used the oral tradition, wouldn't he? He would have ostracized the few scribes there were. Really, this is such a stupid statement that I should not even waste my time arguing against it.
and whats this? 'admonish' Hazarat Khadija (R) for having 'her own career'....darling jaan, he was employed by her, and he would go and admonish her for having a career?
earliest years, the Prophet barely had a following and relied on her economically and he would have gone and admonished her for it....jaanlaiva argument hai.
Wow. So are u saying that the Prophet kept his true feelings towards women working and having some education and know-how so that he could keep his job. Are u saying the Prophet was matlabi? Man, you're a real nutjob.
besides, Islam was revealed piecemeal over a period of 20 yrs, in which she was present for only the first decade....any ayats regarding womens status cud easily have been revealed after her death....so again theres a loophole for u....
So then he wuold have said something along the lines of "dont try to be like khadija". Instead his wife's memory still lived in him and his people. He had nothing but praise for her. Again, your point is totally beqaar, especially since there was no revelation that said women should not be educated.
alas nobody found me this cute before...
Probably because you're not? You're more like a splinter in the heel.
