zabihah.com is really helpful- i use it all the time. Where in NY? Long Island? Manhattan? Queens? I can suggest a few places in queens and LI and there's this AMAZING vegetarian place in the the city- it's halal b/c it vegatarian, it's not really catering to muslims.

corner of 53rd st and 6th avenue - best halal food ever :) its just a small stall and none of the others are comparable to what his food tastes like! you'll see a pretty long line there - thats the only way to distinguish his place from the rest!

snazzy: I'll be in Queens, Bronx, Manhattan and Brooklyn but can go to other places as well.
