well dilse it's not really true that all the desi gals wear shorts. for example take Defence in pakistan, u can see different kind of people there. like a person is wearing shalwar and kameez and the neighbour who is also muslim but a little rich and and not in parents control is wearing shorts and t- shirt. thats aussi's philosophy i don't get it either but that what i have heard from different people. i think lots of gals admire the americans or canadians (wherever) and wears shorts and smoke. i have seen very few paki gals doiong this stuff. very little may be 10%.thats all i have to say.
My opinion the quran proihibits females from showing there viles but this also applies to males. The Qu'ran now is rules so society does not destroy itself. In this modern age among the population where tight short clothes is becoming common. This causes a lot a sexual tension to arise which is the reason why you a a such a hight rate od AIDs. For example when india modernized into western culture the rate of Aids increased dramatically. India today infact is the country with the highest rate of Aids. SO all in all Revealing sexual parts such asw legs is wrong.
Part of me agrees and part of me disagrees with the Desi girl/shorts issue. I leave it to you to work out which part is which. Other than this, I don't want to say too much on this issue.
Usual India bashing. Subsaharan Africa has largest number of AIDS cases. Unforunately 4 times cases in India and Thailand put togather, though Africa has very little population.
It does not have to do with short skirts. Even UAE has a large number of AIDS cases.

First of all whay is all desi girls small compared to ghori girls in western country, it is because those desi girls dont get enough what we usually call D-vitamin, which is produced when people get exposed by sunshines.........it mean to get tall desi girls those gilrs must somehow expose their some part of their body ( usually enough by showing their arms or legs or both them to be exposed to sunshines) havent you notoced that many desi girls born abroad is shorter than those born in Pakistan!!!!!!! beleive me i know hat i am talking about. i have seen many women, particular in Islamabad they are quite taller than i find here in Europe. Said in another words it is very healthy for those girls to go in shorts at least that covers theirs knees. That kind of shorts i dont think males get crazy by thinking sex all day. Their one way to handle this problem and that is that girls wear shorts at home in that way she can sit at her balcony and have some sunshine at her body, but when get into the public area, then she may well go full covered clothes. Isnt that great solution.
what a topic! ummmmm i have seen it. i grew up in the states so its a common phenomenon. although i grew up here and participated in this myself when i was a teenager, i now think its an odd sight to see. for some reason i just think covered legs are more appropriate. but hey, if you wanna wear shorts, be my guest! im not gonna judge ya cause i know i do things others may not like or agree with. islamically though i think it is not permissable. i personally wouldnt wear shorts cause i dont like tooooo. :) :)

As a matter of fact it is the case in this western society where nudity isnt considered bad at all. so wait till ur daughters turn out ten times worst than u could ever be and weep over ur fate.

Kofi Annan, has said. Delivering the first Diana Princess of Wales memorial lecture
on AIDS at the Bank of England here yesterday, Mr. Annan, who spoke on the
rapidly spreading AIDS epidemic in various parts of the world, said that HIV has
firmly embedded itself in India. It has spread even to rural areas that were thought
to have been spared, he said. Citing the example of Tamil Nadu, the U.N. chief said
a survey has shown that almost half a million people of the State's 25 million people
are already infected.

In India prediction right now is around 4 million. But India has 7 times population that of Pak.

I am talking of rate and not number, rate in India is by no means highest. It is mainly in Manipur (drugs), Bombay (migrant workers away from family) and Tamilnadu (migrant workers).
Our favorite cricket playing nation Zimbabwe has as much as 12.8% rate of infection unfortunately and SA has 14.6% people HIV+ve. (www.aidslink.org.za/challenge.html)
AIS rate in Pak is as much as India, don't worry.
The discussions on which country has more patients is truly disgusting. But given current indo-pak relations we do not expect better.

what does beauty/legs have to do with a sexually transmitted disease? Women who choose not to cover every inch of their body are NOT asking to be raped/assulted...and your comments seem to suggest that.
A big number of AIDS cases in Baluchistan and NWFP have to do with drugs.
Girls can be killing('nazaronse goli mare'). Drugs are worse. Even unprotected sex has only 3% chances of disease transmission (protected sex is NOT 100% safe). But if u take contaminated needle (or blood), u r infected 100% sure.
Or it can be stupid reasons. 4000 people in Germany got HIV+ve becase one doctor distributed infected blood (he got away with 3 yrs jail). The injection needles in rural area may be problem. You and me stand as much chance of being HIV+ve without doing anything illicit.
Awareness is solution, not increasing length of female dresses.
