am being fed with halwa, yakhni n milk with haldi and nuts. in addition I eat bread with egg and am only drinking warm water, milk, jice etc to avoid back pain that I get when eating or drinking cold stuff.
my question is that is it really healthy with halwa? with all the butter and sugar in it? I must admit that I have more energy and milk this time compared to last time when i didnt have halwa.
my mum has also made ma panjeeri that I am supposed to eat when stopping halwa.
I think panjeeri definitely helps. I didn’t eat halwa…but loads of yakhni/soup, oatmeal, panjeeri and milk. I think it helps a lot with energy and milk production.
my mom made me eat non spicy desi good (yakhni and other stuff,) and also made panjeeri thing. She said it helps with the recovery and milk production…and it totally did. When you breat feed, the baby takes everything from your body, so you have to make sure you give back to your body as well.
Why halwa?for energy…looking after baby and house is not a joke
…especially first few months are very tiring…and you need take rest too so that you can recover.soon…
I used to make halwa everyday…plain sooji halwa with oats and nuts…and would eat one.bowl whenever felt hungry…besides bfast..lunch…dinner…
I’ve never made panjeeri so didnt tried it during my postpartum days coz i knew it requires lots of energy to cook lol
