I’ve always wondered, why don’t we get an eid special during eid time on desi TV? I mean you always have christmas specials. Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer, Charlie Brown’s Christmas, The Grinch Who Stole Christmas, etc etc.
So if there was to be an Eid special, how do you think it would play out? Maybe something like
Abdul came home one day all sad because the kids in his class told him that all the bakras vanished in the world. He was sad because his mom had told him the previous night that the Bakra King comes to every house the day before eid, and looks at how well each bakra had been decorated with mehndi and tassles and little pom poms, and if he liked the bakra, the child would get lots of eidi from his parents the next day…
