Hope you all are doing well. I need your help searching for a desi banquet hall in Western NY (Buffalo, Rochester, basically Anywhere close within 30-45 mins to the Canadian/US border).
I’ve been endlessly searching the internet for pretty banquet halls like we have here in GTA (a few examples like; Versailles, Apollo, Paradise, Chandni, Mississauga Convention Centre etc). However it seems like Buffalo doesn’t have much to offer except country clubs 
lol or the banquet halls are too non-desi (no outside desi food allowed, or is too plain).
I’m looking for your expertise and if any of you have attended any desi functions in Western NY. Please let me know. We are looking for a venue for 150 ppl for a mangni, western NY, we’re open to an outdoor setting as well since it’ll be in the summer like a shaamiyana type setting would be aaaa-mazing! Does anyone have experience with renting marquees in NY and get it to look like a shaamiyana with the drapings from the high ceilings? I found 1 vendor for tent rentals “stamford tent” but not sure if they’re good. Btw does Shaamiyana in the US look tacky? I mean we want to do something different than the ordinary but I’m a little hesitant, I just don’t want people thinking we cheaped out, you know! Lol a shaamiyana would probably cost more or equal to a banquet hall. Ugh gossip aunties! We just want something fresh, something new, something different.
