The men in my life are all so different from one another, yet I see essential goodness in each of them. I don’t know that there’s a cookie cutter answer for who/what is good or not, but if I were to describe some of the traits that exemplify their goodness, it would be as follows (btw, not a single of one them has all of these traits, some have a few, some have others):
humility
compassion
consideration for others
generosity
an ability to laugh at oneself
selflessness, putting others before oneself
fairness
tolerance of differences
respect others
proud, not with false pride
honest
capacity to love and be inclusive of others
To add a caveat, does the absence of any of these traits make a person not good/bad, then my answer to that is no. Each person makes choices according to their circumstances. To quote queer, humans are complex beings and most have some goodness in them.
