Derma Roller

Some of you will recall my dilemma with my acne scars. Thankfully my breakout of spots is controlled! But my major problem is the deep pitted scars. I went to a local salon where the woman recommended a Derma rollex treatment, whereby the needles of the derma roller would be rolled on my face. She said I would see a good result and my overall complexion will be even toned and scar free. 6 treatments will be needed at a grand total of £450.

Now being on a budget and not working full time, I am inclined to use the Derma Sponge treatment that can be done at home.

The question for you guys is:

  1. Has anyone used these treatments?

  2. Has it worked with anyone?

Re: Derma Roller

I don't think derma roller will work on deep pitted scars, it may help with the rest. The deeper it penetrates and the more the skin is required to heal, the better the results will be, so don't expect too much from the home one.

Re: Derma Roller

I think that a few chemical peel and microdermabrasion sessions will be more beneficial. You'd have to search around for what you'd think is a reasonable deal. You can also look into laser resurfacing. Just go to a professional...a dermatologist who can discuss options and prices, etc.

Re: Derma Roller

I use a derma roller, but just to increase the absorption and penetration of creams..

The needles are only tiny but still a bit of an uncomfortable sensation.. for me anyway.. (have to admit I'm a bit of a wimp with needles)..
