can someone just answer the question, no one answers whats being asked here, just rambles on about the rightness of the question.....i asked something else, didnt ask for a reason why they were doing it....jeez.
Nadz love, in my post I stated that you've got an emotional tie to the area, whereas I'm assuming the lady in question doesn't have the same link as you do to the area, thus she is seeing the negatives rather than any positives.
I stick by this, and if you are looking at points to 'fight your corner' should you be put into that type of situation you can say to her 'well that's your choice' or 'statistics for areas work both in favour of an argument and against it'. An example of this is some areas have beautiful houses whereas the area leaves a lot to be desired. No real area will give someone everything.
Here's my first of desirables in my dream area:
nice sunny weather, but low pollen count
nice large houses, with a basement and loft to expand in with a large garden to keep a chicken coup in
nice parks in local area
great nurseries, schools and private high schools in the area which offer scholarships
low unemployment rate
low crime rate
a balanced mix of people-the area I currently live in is NOT balanced and has turned into a desi ghetto. Inshallah I plan to leave the area before my unborn baby turns 6.
a Mosque within walking distance
halal restaurants and butchers within 15 minutes by car
playgroups/community centre with a carpark/garden not littered with needles and so on
and the list goes on and on and on. This is a list of my desirables...that doesn't mean others will have the same list of pick the area I see fit to live in either.
If the lady keeps slating the area just say horses for courses sister, every area has it's issue. I know it's hard but please try not to take things to heart, stress ain't good for you or baby.
