assalamalaikum. i want to know how does depilex work now? i mean 8 years back it was almost the top most parlours in pakistan. but now i dont see any good reviews about depilex on the forum :-(.. any recent experience? and who is the best makeup artist there? as i cannot go to defence for my makeup so cudnt find any other option but depilex. i will be greatful if you guys reply

i got it done from the owner (so did my sister for her wedding), she did an awesome job! and she was so nice. i cant comment on the other MUA.

Well I got my makeup done by Depilex and there were 20 brides that were getting there make over done at the salon on that day. Only a few of them were looking good, not even brides by Akku (Musarat Misbah's sister) were looking that good as they were supposed to be. I got it done from a girl named Saba and she did a faboulus job luckily. My dress was peacock green and u now that makeover was something that really matters with these colours, but i was satisfied. But since there is a huge crowd at the parlour of brides and brides maids they cannot give a spectacular treatment to everyone and there is a "batch process" :) sort of thing going out there, with different stations, like one for base, one for eye makeup, one for hair styling and others for dupatta setting and nail polish etc. A bride has to move through all these stations one by one and a lady calls ur name at different stations when ur turn comes. Just seems like a factory where a soap or some sort of "candy" is getting manufactored :)

i find that sort of setting really anoying there really should be one mua giving the bride to be full attention instead them all running round u i really wouldnt find that comfortable

Yes thats true. I was very uncomfortable with all this.
Sabs also have a huge crowd but if u r getting ur makeover done by Saba, she only gives u the eyemakeup and contouring, for rest u r sent to other makeover artists. These dayz Rizwan is the top most artist @ Sabs after Saba. But if u r getting ut done by Rizwan he gives the complete makeover to his brides.

o o :(.. do u ppl know any other reliable parlour in karachi which is not situated in defence clifton? :(.. my main prob is travelling. and i want make up with flawless base. thats why i opted for depilex.

in gulshan you will find Najlas in reasonable amount but i am not sure if their base is flawless or not ..

thanx alot shanum :D.. i like kashee's makeup. definitely m going to vists the parlour soon :D.. n yes i got my nikkah make up done frm najlas. eye makeup was awesome no doubt but base was very cheap. it was yellowish, cakey and i had craks on my face half an hour after the makeup. i had to work with the base myself then :(
