Even if we put aside the discussion whether what he said was right or wrong, who gives these people the right to go and kill people? Let Allah be the judge. If anything, he should have been brought to court for saying what he did if it really went against the Islam.

At least that’s what my reasoning points to as well. But the people of this country also have the habit of passing verdicts whenever the situation calls for it: He deserved it, he was asking for it anyway, serves him right for playing with people’s emotions and blah blah… it doesn’t hurt to pass a judgment unless it’s someone you don’t care about.
