That’s nothing new. Ours is a nation built on hypocrisy. We do all those things that the Holy Prophet pbuh warned us against, lying, backbiting, corruption which is probably a much bigger blasphemy than calling the blasphemy laws a kaala qanoon, but we’re still willing to kill those who call a spade a spade. I’m not an advocate of Salman Taseer’s lifestyle but he did stand up for what’s right, which is more than most people can say.

Even if we put aside the discussion whether what he said was right or wrong, who gives these people the right to go and kill people? Let Allah be the judge. If anything, he should have been brought to court for saying what he did if it really went against the Islam.

And yes he may have lead a very colorful life but i would take that anytime over hypocrates who are praying 5 times a day, fasting 30 days BUT deep down are such *****es and *******s that they would leave no opportunity to bring down others n want the worse for them.
