Re: Dengue and how to prevent…

This might help.

Re: Dengue and how to prevent...

the insent repellent i got, was from uk, and it says suitable for uk and europe, so not dengue infested pakistan....and we have mortein here which says not suitable for under 2...so what do ise on her.......uffffffff.....cant wait to fly out now...

Re: Dengue and how to prevent...

Talk to her pediatrician in UK and Pakistan.

Re: Dengue and how to prevent...

well i fly out early next month, but at the moment, i have a month here, and so far docs are confusing, ive said in my earlier threads the information given here is ridiculously pathetic. they have no idea about anything. i have to crawl the net to find solutions. i found something called oil of lemon eucolyptus or something can be used on her to repel insects.

also is the insect repellent sprays that u spray in rooms just as effective as stuff that u apply on skin...hope so.

Re: Dengue and how to prevent...

keeping her in Air conditioned room, until we go i guess. i hope we all ok for the next month. ris is higher in me too as im pregnant,

i love this country.

Re: Dengue and how to prevent...

ok, my peadiatrician told me to put few drops of mospel on baby's clothes coz its the smell that drives the mosquitos away, also putting a few drops on baby's blanket when she sleeps. Use a net to cover baby at night. Use "ON" by Sandoz its a lotion and I use it on my 1 yr old baby, just dont put it on the hands coz baby's put em in their mouth
Try getting a maid to spray your room daily, close it for a few mins, then put the fan on and wait a while before going in. Since you're pregnant don't spray yourself but you can use mospel or ON on your feet, arms, behind ears etc.
