On Friday Karimov ordered the killing of over 700 civilians, including women and
children, as they fled from the his troops. This followed a demonstration where tens of thousands of demonstrators gathered in the city of Andijan, Uzbekistan protesting against the oppressive regime of the western puppet Karimov.
Karimov has been an ally of Bush’s war on terror, and has received millions in western aid despite massive imprisonment, torture and murder of Islamic political activists. The British government sacked their ambassador when he publicised the case of Muzaffar Avazov, a member of Hizb ut-Tahrir, boiled alive by Karimov.
We ask all Muslims here to use their voices against this oppression, to expose the hypocrisy of western foreign policy and to send a powerful message to the vile Karimov regime and call for the return of the Khilafah state in the Muslim world.

London, UK, May 17 – Earlier this afternoon, 37 activists of Hizb ut-Tahrir were arrested after they staged a protest against the tyranny of the Uzbek regime and the blatant hypocrisy of its western allies. The demonstration, outside the Embassy of Uzbekistan in London, was held in response to the recent massacre of over five hundred Uzbek Muslims in Andijan on the orders of Uzbek President, Islam Karimov.
Activists staged a sit-in protest in the embassy's courtyard, chained themselves to the embassy railings and covered the embassy in red paint representing the blood of Uzbekistan's Muslims. Slogans daubed on the embassy building branded Uzbek President Islam Karimov a "killer". The protest had commenced at approximately 12.00 p.m. BST.
Prominent members of Hizb ut-Tahrir including Dr Abdul Wahid, Hamid Rana, Sidik Auckbar and Qasim Khawaja were amongst those arrested.
Dr Imran Waheed, a UK based doctor and the Representative of Hizb ut-Tahrir Britain, said, "Today's demonstration sends a strong message to Karimov to end his tyranny and violence. The red paint on the embassy signifies the bloodstained hands of Karimov after the Andijan massacre. Karimov is the West's ally that terrorises the masses through the cold-blooded murder of women and children."
"We call for the immediate release of all political prisoners from the dungeons of Uzbekistan. Today's action is only the first step in what will be a relentless campaign to expose the Uzbek regime's tyranny."
A further demonstration will take place on Wednesday 18th May 2005 at 10.30 a.m. at the Embassy of Uzbekistan in London [41 Holland Park, London, W11 3RP; nearest underground Holland Park].

Hopefully bullets will not be flying at the demonstrators in UK unlike in Uzbekistan where women and children will be shot on the spot no questions asked!

In the west you can protest to some extent because the people are generally satisfied with the staus quo they belive in secualrism. In the east they don't like secualrism and you will get the extremist secualr authorities like Karimov and other tyrants like clashing with the public more violently.
But the west has nothing to brag about when it comes to demonstrations see following :

These Khilafah people may not fix everything, but why do you hypocrites (and liars in your case) not call for the overthrow of this dictator, and for free elections?
Re: * Demonstration * outside Uzbek embassy on Wed 18 May
Because the "opposition" is linked with al qaedda, the choices for running the country are bad and worse. We choose to weakly support "bad" and encouraging him to improve, with an eye to supporting "nobody".
