Yes last time I checked there was an acute shortage of kids elsewhere in the country. The shortage was so much so that the govt. was giving incentive to peopel to increase population over there. The population was getting "older" and the govt had to allow immigration from the west to overcome the shortage in labour market. That's it!

Indian Sindhis use the Devanagari script, same as the one used in Hindi, Sanskrit, Marathi, Nepali, and i think, Konkani too.
though pre-Independence, Sindhi was written in the Arabic influenced script only.
