Democratic Convention 2004
Clintons love for politics, America, and the general welfare of others throughout the world is such a positive thing
I am sure he was showing his love for america when he was dipping his wang in monica's mouth or the cigar for that matter...right UTD?

Semi, 8 years of prosperity...are u watching all the scandals...when do you think corruption and overstating of the profits and creative accounting started ....care to take a guess. Peace...redcution in army and intelligence budget that led to underprepared intelligence agencies for 911. oh and Al Gore inveneted the internet and also the lock box for social security and lets not forget the socialist medical health plan ...they all were rousing success. :)

Kaleem... don't tell me patriotic Americans don't have sex! :o

Well, you can argue that the reduction in military spending and size started in Clinton's time and all that fancy stuff... but don't hold a friggin blow job against the man, yaar. Keep the big picture in mind.

Yeah, those 8 years of unparalleled peace and prosperity were just awful.

Semi, you know as well as I do that the prosperity of the 90s had more to do with economic cycles and an unprecendented technology industry boom than anything Clinton did or didn't do. I have tremendous respect for his charisma and ability to inspire people (now more than ever considering our choices in the last election and the next one) but I'm no fan of the left wing, and Clinton's actions on a personal level were undignified. Having said that, Bush has damaged our country's reputation which, in my view, is a much graver sin. I haven't decided yet how to cast my vote.

Just wait for ahmadjee to show up and he will help you. He will even take your hand and give you a ride in his car.

Stu, you make some valid points. Bush gambled the creditability of the United States and he lost. Politically that is unforgivable in my eyes and rewarding them another term would be irresponsible. To undo that damage a clean slate is needed and it happens to be Kerry/Edwards. Even if one isn't a fan of Kerry/Edwards what they are offering is to repair the damage that the Bush administration has caused as well as reengage ‘the war on terror’ head on, without distraction, and in the process garner world support.

Faisal yarr, I did not say that he was unpatriotic. Since you brought it up, here it goes, patriotic american certainly do have sex, they might even cheat on their spouses, but they do not come out and say "It depends on what is is?"

UTD, I am looking forward to the agenda that Kerry/Edwards will put forth to "repair" the damage done by clinton administration. How are they going to fight the war on terror? by reducing the budget for military or restricting the ability of intelligence agencies? That is what democrats do and tiger does not change its stripes.... Its going to be much of the same if Fransktien and minin me win this election. :)

Democratic Convention 2004

Please submit all of your posts regarding Kerry/Edwards, Democratic Convention 04, speeches made by different participants, the introduction of different democratic personalities and any other relevant posts under this thread. We will also have a separate thread for Republican Convention. Thanks.

So how many of you saw Barack Obama’s speech today…A young state senator from Illinois… ……honestly, i had never heard of his name before but he was the keynote speaker for today. That took my attention. And now i have to say that this was the best speech so far…yep even better than bill clinton…The guy was simply awesome. he was simple yet articulate, brief yet convincing and just like Clinton he was able to connect with people…I really loved the way he started his speech…I predict that this guy has a great potential to be USA president one day. Here is a link to his brief profile.

wishful thinking. Never heard of him until two weeks ago. And if I haven’t heard of him, then he probably is a nobody. :snooty:

Obama was a good speaker, dynamic with appeal for the general public.

What did you guys think of Imam Yahya Hendi's benediction?

Dan Rather on the convention:

Rather On Convention: Dullsville

BOSTON, July 27, 2004

(CBS) Now it’s official: This convention really is duller than those the parties held four years ago. Inside the hall, it’s scripted down to the nanosecond. Outside the hall, security is battened down tighter than the lug nuts on a ’55 Ford.

http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2004/07/27/politics/main632346.shtml

Wake me if something interesting happens…

These conventions hold no purpose (now) except to rally up their own supporters and perhaps get their candidate a few rating points in the corresponding boost. If you are not a hardcore democrat, this convention is not likely to be of interest to you. Same with Republican convention, five weeks from now.

Edwards on stage at the moment. I like his southern accent. Im trying to visualize the vp debate with him and Cheney :>

Who is this lady with artificial smile who is counting votes.
She is funny !!!!

Why did Edwards' daughter dress like Jackie O?

Great job by Edwards tonight. The postivity emmited by him is something America needs right now. Come election day I think the choice is easy on who you rather have be 1 heartbeat away from becoming President.

Yeah, those 8 years of unparalleled peace and prosperity were just awful. We need another 4 years of historic deficits, preemptive strikes, nation building, global isolation, restrictions of freedom, incoherent babbling and a total lack of domestic policy progress. Go Bush!

Thank you Thank you Thank you!
Bush wins and we'll get Patriot Act III IV V VI in the next 4 years. You'll be glad if you get the right to breathe!!
