He is accredited with two kills of Afghan Su-27 during the Afghan conflict with Pakistan back in the eighties. Commander of Minhas Airforce Base, Kamra, and one of the elite fighter pilots of PAF, Air Commodore Abdul Hameed Qadri died in an aircrash whilest on a training mission, yesterday…

Pakistan has always been proud of its great fighter pilots - A loss like this one surely makes everyone sad at heart - But rest assured that PAF has many more Abdul Hameed Qadris who will keep his great traditions alive - I am specially attached to the PAF because my younger brother is a fighter pilot - We are well guarded by our brothers defending the skies - May Commodor Abdul Hameed's rooh forever rest in peace - AMEEN
