I am having problem with my Laptop as my Battery is not Charging and Laptop is running on AC Power only.
Attached is the image of power options. Can anyone recommend any change/help?
and whats worse is that my Laptop Warrenty has just expired 3 weeks ago and i cant even get help from Dell.

With that image I couldn't tell what's going on. You have it set on "Always on" is all I can see. So if you take the AC out the laptop just dies?
With Dell you should still have phone support.

^^ Without AC the lap top just dies. I tried Dell's Chat system and it says that since i do not have warranty anymore, i can not get any assistance.

under your power meter tab do you get the option of "battery health"
I have a dell with window vista and it lets me check "battery health" I think you are using windows xp so im not sure if you have that option.

No i dont have Battery health option.
Its funny because now it only seems to charge battery when i turn the Laptop off. When i have it on and insert the AC power, it runs on AC only but does not charge the battery but runs. But as soon as i turn the machine off, it will start charging the battery. I have taken the battery out and tried to clean the terminals on machine side and battery side and that seemed to have helped.
