this sounds extremely risky... why would you endanger your child's health for a piece of paper? and not to be cynical, but after 9/11 being pakistani and american doesn't mean the same thing it used to.
have you thought about what if you end up having c-section? who will take care of you, cos they discharge you from hospital pretty quickly after giving birth- three days is the timeline in canada at least. will your husband be able to cope on his own? you won't be able to do much initially. is this your first child? can your mother or his mother accompany you or a sister? keep at least an extra $5000 in reserve for yourself and hubby on top of all the costs associated with coming to the States.

we paid under $1500 and that's private insurance. My bhabhi paid zilch cus she went public... same docs, just u dont get the same obsetrician when u go for ur checkups... and once u have bubz, u get $5000 from the govt. (However, this is mean tested now... sucks but its good for a lot of people)
aoa n hello every onee!! ok i m in US n pregnant!its my third month n man i wish every day kay i can go back to pakistan and have the baby theree:) there will be so much help. i just moved to houston from canada n dun knwo anyone here:( trust me its very expensive to have babies in US. Although we have really good insurance but still yahan ka food n all is soo sickening kay u dunt wanna have it here but if u do come in 7th month n no laterzzz!!also bring $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ alot of emmmmmm:) n good luck!and yeah move to a city like new york, chicago or houston so u can have desi'ss !!nationality jahan ki bhe ho kaam apnay he atay hain trust mee:)
