no way to know but my guess would be we'd all have been better of and found ways and means of respecting each other a lot more. Religions would have become just one of the things but economics, culture, stupid movies, halwa jilebis etc would have provided the bridges.
or who knows! may be the radicalization problems that Pakistan is facing today might have happened with more devastating impact for the whole region! in that case thank God Pakistan was split away and dispersed the population. BUT the theories I have come across for such Pakistani radicalization mostly involve Saudi Arabia and if that is true, in a united India there would not have been such radicalization as Saudi Arabia will temper its influences
