Some one told me once you have the means you should go for Hajj arther than waiting for the last minute cuz yiu never know what future holds for you
I’ve been saving some money till now for marriage, hajj never really enetered my mind. I know it is compulsory but I assumed it could be delayed as it’s not like a set time like our daily prayers. Or is it set that when you have means, you really do HAVE to go?
So can I delay hajj so that I can get married? or should I just go for it?
I'm going for Hajj in January with my whole family and I'm only 25 and not married.
A lot of people have very strange beliefs when it comes to Hajj and it's my personal opinion that these beliefs are culturally dictated. I could be wrong.
The most common belief that I have encountered is by people who believe you should first get married, have children, raise your families and go for Hajj when you have completed all of your obligations (i.e. gotten your children married, etc.). Obviously, by then you'll be older and may have some other ailments affecting your health. Young people shouldn't go for Hajj if they are single. Personally, I don't believe this. For me, it makes sense to go whenever you can, even if you are single and unmarried. Like you said, you could be killed tomorrow or next year and you wouldn't have gone for Hajj for what good reason??
Other arguments I have heard against going for Hajj:
You can't sin after performing Hajj - (as if you were allowed to sin beforehand)
An argument I've heard against performing Umra:
If you go for Umra, it'll become mandatory to go for Hajj - isn't it already mandatory??
I think these are all just excuses to get out of performing Hajj.
I don't know what's right or wrong but I think when you feel it in your heart that it's your time to go, you should go. That being said, a lot of people never feel the urge to go. Whatever you do, do it with sincerity and not cause other people are telling you what's right or wrong (not that you are doing this).
Well it does make sense. I mean Hajj is an abolute farz on you if can afford to go. So common sense says that something thats more important should be done first.

True ... lol... This is just cultural thing in subcontinent. No wonder when you go for Hajj most of older people there are from subcontinant.
u can go for Hajj at anytime as long as u've your own money.not money that u've borrowed from some1.also when u r going for hajj should make sure that no1 has any money to u.bcz i dun think those ppl who lend money and don't give it back when they r going for hajj.there hajj will be accepted.bcz u should've any KARZ on u.also i've heard from ppl that when your daughters r not married u can't go for hajj.i dunno what crack minded ppl we have in our society.who tell stuff like these.
I think I need to save some more money becuase PCG is right I need money for my family too particularly my ailing mother..inshallah next year will be a definate plus i will be working so i might save up enough money ( I hope cuz its diffcult after marraige :D)
