what do you call such a person who, lets say is in a situation…they don’t really react immediately and take it all in stride. It’s only after the situation is over that the intensity or gravity of it hits them much later…and that’s when the emotions come in.
No but it reminds me of a joke about delayed reaction.
In a zoo a donkey was laughing out loud , but all the other animals were busy in their routines. One guy asked the zoo keeper what gives donkey is laughing and everybody else is calm ? The zoo keeper said , monkey told a joke to all the animals two days ago , the donkey got the joke today.
okay, a personal example…some time ago I got some bad news and was unwell as a result. At the time I didn’t make a big fuss about it…it was only a few weeks/months later when everything that had happened started to affect me and I went through the emotions (anger, depression, sadness, etc).
I thought most people are the opposite–they go through the emotions first then become more rational/optimistic because time is supposed to heal…I was just wondering how many people are the opposite?
Different people react different. Some freeze up and just become numb. Others go super logical and sort out all the drama, calm stuff down and then deal with the emotional issues after its all be sorted. It just depends on your personality type.
