It was a cheap Costco cake, the party was at Jeremy’s house and Jason’s mom purchased the cake. I don’t serve cheap food to my guests. I think the cake and gift was a really great gesture.

You are preaching to the quire, I am all about finding balance and happiness in life and fully know money doesn’t buy happiness but lack of it does cause unhappiness. Things have changed, wages didn’t keep up with inflation. In NFL housing is very inexpensive, in Toronto an average house is over a million, in my city property has increased 5 folds. In 20 yrs. I see many athletes parents with family income of over 160K struggle to make ends meet. You need at least 140k here to put your kids in activities. Yes if you are making that much then you can be content. I work with bankers everyday so I do have an idea of wages, as i said in a branch only the branch manager makes good money. Most divorces are over finances.

Salaries and housing vary wildly across Canada. Neither of us are going to change our minds on this but I will say that you did not in any way address the points I made about your philosophy fellow and the fact remains that he doesn’t have work and my aunt who has the same degree from not an ivy league has gainful employment and a decent life in Canada. I rest my case.

Two of my assistants started with me at minimum wage and they had arts degrees, it would be unfortunate to see someone spend 100k and 4 yrs to start at minimum wage. We start our laborers at 21 dollars an hour. Your aunt was lucky and probably has a great attitude, Autif has some awkwardness issues because of a broken home, you don’t need a great personality to be a successful electrician. If he was an electrician he would definitely have a job and making over 100k a year. Youngsters need to be in profession which is in demand.

I think they were doing that in Pak this is why most employers prefer not to get workers from Pak or offer jobs to the ones who are here. I see a large no of work visa recipients from India. When i was at NED uni the balochs and pathans would cheat in exams with guns on their desks. Dr. Alvi a fiesty Sindhi professor failed the notorious Goon Boro who was three yrs our senior and Boro went to his house with a Kalashnikov and threatened to kill his family. After that day no one failed him but he got killed in a police encounter years later. My friend yaroo could not write two sentences and still graduated as an engineer.

I was anxious about retiring then I stayed home for 2 weeks and wanted to kill myself of boredom. Just look at all the insanely wealthy like Buffet, Carlos Slim, Bezos, Branson are all still working despite being billionaires.

yeah but I’m too lazy to work and don’t want to be a billionaire, I will do things that i love doing, and a few properties will help sustain a comfortable lifestyle in the long run. My London apartment is already valued very high and mortgage free. Need to sort out the home on GC and flat in sydney, will have to work like a dog over next few years but hopefully should be ok when everything is paid for and owned outright.

So what kind of cap ratios or price to rent ratios do you get in your parts of the woods. Here rent is around 6 percent of property value and you can get mortgage at 3 percent interest rates so that makes it a great opportunity.
