Degree Or Not..................

Re: Degree Or Not…

How many nationalities, Zak has, he used to be Tunisian, now became Indonesian.
And what on earth has happened to France. PHD engineer women are selling themselves as mail order brides to trainers. MAcron better put France back on track.

Re: Degree Or Not…

And aqua as usual does not want to offend anyone on either side.

Re: Degree Or Not…

As mentioned before I have a degree in Civil Engineering anda masters in Business but luckily I had the brains to abandon my engineering career and now make money on my personality. The reason for this thread was when I was researching for engineers salaries for my son , I realised sometimes I made more in a month than an engineer makes in a year and I started questioning the value of degrees. Sorry, I wrote Indonesian by mistake for Zaks ethnicity. He is Tunisian and was employed to train French National team and we arranged for his immigration. I guess his PHD Tunisian/French wife was looking for a good looking modern man who won’t slap her around. We all were stunned to see Nehla, she is gorgeous also, and Zak is definitely over married and I had to talk sense into his dumb brain as he was starting to get authoritative towards beautiful Nehla.

We pay Zak 50k/yr and most days he works 3 hrs a day. In Summer he works a lot harder. He is now upgrading his education.

This is the cake we bought for lovely Nehla and Zak

Re: Degree Or Not…

Just a few more things to educate you booby.
In hard sciences one gets a lot of kick from doing the work itself, it carries its own satisfaction that does not come from money. Civil engineers that have made their mark in their field make a lot more than commission agents selling houses. They become partners in big construction firms and make lot more than medium scale businessmen. Plus they get to work to monuments that are known world over like Burj Khalifa, famous stadiums etc. One of my classmates who is electrical engineer works in GE, and has worked on new MRI techniques, which is amazing. My younger brother in his final year engineering project worked on technique to deliver focused radiation delivery to tumor cells. Engineering is a wonderful achievement of human race, if one indeed puts his mind to work in his field, rather than being an average joe.

Secondly, 50,000 Canadian Dollars for a world class coach is peanuts, a nurse makes that much. And Nehla has got to be extremely dumb to fly acorss the world to marry an average joe, and she has got to be ****ugly if she could not find a good looking modern man in France.

Re: Degree Or Not…

Who is nehla?

Re: Degree Or Not…

Nehla is Dehla’s twin who used to play “tarzan bigher chaddi ke” with manbooby1 in the bushes. One day they were caught red-handed and then bobby had to run to Kanada. Now he cant even go back so he logs in GS without chaddi to remember those days

Re: Degree Or Not…

Our team coach had an arranged marriage with this stunning Tunisian girl who was living and working in France. she has a PHD in engineering and works in artificial intelligence.

Re: Degree Or Not…

I’d hate to be corny, but people who go without degrees and take another route still have to work hard and get good at their craft. Even something like being fulltime on YouTube. It takes work to get and maintain followers, to make content (even if it is stupid sh*t), and to continue to keep yourself relevant for years to come. Idk why anyone would want to pander to people who want to do nothing and get loads of cash “why go to school when u can tis for 400,000k a year!!1” when doing that alternative route still takes knowledge, skill, and hard work. Of course, this is without factoring in luck and how plain luck can get you places (and how you decide to use that luck).

This is a stupid ass thread Bobby.

Re: Degree Or Not…

We don’t really have small businesses here, the top pay range for engineers here is around 140k, my very close friend and mentor just has a high school diploma but an amazing disciplined personality and is very presentable and extremely motivated. He became a realtor around 15 yrs ago and is now worth in hundreds of millions. Nurses here average around 100k a year. Not every woman evaluates on income, Zak had previously competed internationally and is very fit. Maybe she wanted to marry an athletic man. Most of our trades subcontractors are multimillionaires so it is a lot easier to be wealthy becoming an electrical, plumbing and framing contractor. The top Pakistani Engineer here was GM of the largest oil co and made around 350K, I know scores of realtors who make over 500k and a few who make over a million plus many also invested in real estate and become filthy rich.

am not sure you being in Pak can understand how the pay structure works here.

Re: Degree Or Not…

Well Icono uncle and red velvet baji, seems like I have offended you two by merely laughing.

If you’d like, you guys can go around and start dissing me too on the basis that I do not differentiate between you and bobby1. It will amuse me further.

Happy Friday.

Re: Degree Or Not…

It is very relevant to me as I am guiding my children thru life choices, as the original post went, Safy will spend 4 yrs at UNI at a cost of 100k where Justin his best friend working as an apprentice electrician will make 250k during that time and at the end of 4 yrs, Justin will make 85K as Journeyman and Safy will start at 60K. So is the degree a good investment. He is a gorgeous young man and I am seriously considering putting him in Real Estate. If you sell 4 houses in a month you net 30k and write off expenses.

Also i had basically said the same thing as you, education is not limited to degrees. If you have a good attitude you learn on your job and in life experiences.

Re: Degree Or Not…

You don’t have to be so defensive bhateji, and Bobby deserves to be treated better, so You shud differentiate.

Re: Degree Or Not…

Good for them. Since you have so many filthy rich friends, hopefully you can convince them to fund for some project on AI that Nehla can work on, rather than being wasted in a job. Canada is investing quite a lot in research.
One of my friends has moved to University of Western Ontario, made a chair of his department and received funding for his projects that he could not get in UK. He is real time MRI for different organs like brain and heart, in patients who are on life support.
May be Nehla will make a breakthrough;)

Re: Degree Or Not…

It is not about who deserves what. Icono uncle, do you not see that you are doing exactly what you made fun of him for? In post #67](http://gupshup.org/gs/usertag.php?do=list&action=hash&hash=67) You mention your classmate and your younger brother and their accomplishments in order to educate Bobby. A tit for tat. So come again with how you guys are different?

Re: Degree Or Not…

When trying to educate someone, one should devise a strategy that is familiar to the audience. They will be coaching you this in communication skills courses.

Re: Degree Or Not…

:rotfl: Before you know it, you will be the one doing the coaching and the circle will be complete.

Re: Degree Or Not…

The previous builder I used to work for provides a lot of funding to the uni, couple of years ago he gave the uni 10mill and the hospital 10 mill. Most unis here have huge endowment funds, some in billions. We are already funding Zak, immigrated him here, gave him enough income to land and immigrate a nice wife. We dont believe in handouts and you lie in the bed you made. Even millionaires don’t support their own kids and they teach them to be self reliant.

People who are filthy rich are mostly cheapskates and they don’t become rich by squandering their monies. We have lots of Chinese and Indians doing research in the unis here, most get peanuts. Like 40K, they try to buy a house and we have to say sorry.

Re: Degree Or Not…

I think it is a two way traffic. I am learning from him as well. I learnt from his blogs not to toot my horn all the time. I felt I have guilty of it at times.
BTW this response is better, you don’t have to worry about annoying anyone.

Re: Degree Or Not…

A properly funded research can be a big investment in itself. Shrewd businessman are funding research that can make them billions in future. Research is not a zero sum game.
