Defining word 'Quom'

What does it actually mean?

We hear Muslim Quom (though Muslim Ummah is also used)… Then we have Pakistani Quom… Then Sindhi / Punjabi Quom / Muhajir Quom (hence terminology Qoum-Parast)..

In Quran, Momin and Munafiq are also referred as Quom, where it comes in the meaning of a group of people. Hizb (as in Hizbullah) is another word for group used in Quran.

iKhwaan is yet another word used in Qur’aan…iKhwaan-ul-mominoon.

i think it means “Brotherhood” like iKhwaan-ul-muslimeen = Muslim Brotherhood [the banned Egyptian Party]
