Anyways now that MEHAK posted and seeing that I am a Hindu let me answaer his question.
As far as Hindus are concerned there is no definition for Hinduism!
Infact Hindus calling themselves Hindus is a recent phenomenon.
The word comes from "Saptha Sindhu" the land of seven rivers.
They are Ravi,Beas,Sutlej,Jhelum,Chenab,Sind and Sarasvati.
The Pharisees could not pronounce "Saptha Sindhu" ,they called it "Haptha Hindu"
Hence the name Hindu.
As for what Hindus define their religion to be.We call it "Sanatana Dharma" the timeless Dharma.
So what is Dharma?
I will not go into that.That needs several separate threads.
