actually China and Russia have a mutual defence pact.. if one gets attacked, the other joins in it's defence.. so practially this is an offer of protection to the Muslim world from Russia AND China..

^^ The Russian and Sino relationship is really a marriage of convinience seeing how they both reject and fear the US hegemony in their backyards but also it is fright with problems like border issues and the bigger issues today of chinese settling in russian fareast (some “analysts” in Russia have warned about a possible china town of fareast which russia might end up loosing..) while russians aren’t too happy about chinese taking over leadership from Russia (coming from the increade industrial and economic might China is rising up to).

Russia's only main relationship with China is the arms. China has no one besides Russia to buy arms from, so Russia will sell China almost anything, because sooner or later Chinese tech will be up to par or even better then the Russian, and sooner or later the EU Arms Ban on China will be lifted. China is known for reverse-engineering. You give them one weapon, they will reverse-engineer it, and call it their own. This is why many refrain from selling to China. Haven't u heard the Sukhoi Company of Russia say that the Chinese build better Su-27s then the Russians themselves? Sooner or later, China will be ahead of Russia. Until that time, Russia is trying to gain as much capital as possible from China. Russia's biggest customer of weapons is China.
