Deep thoughts by Gabrujawaan....

I often wonder about old age. What if you lived a solitary existance and developed alzheimers at some point. You had no family or friends to remind you of who you are. It’s pretty depressing but I have a solution:

A home video of yourself talking to your future self.

Me on DVD: " Hello Gabru, how you doin bro, this is yourself in the past. I’m 30 years old and living pretty good. Watching this video can only mean one thing: you don’t remember yourself. You’ve lived an interesting life. You met many challenges with gusto. You made a promise to yourself that if you ever lost your memory due to Alzheimers you wouldn’t want to go on living, so, the last cabinet on right in the kitchen has a hidden compartment behind the pickle jar. It has cynide, please take two pills. I’ll see you in after life. Ciao"

What if you forget how to operate a dvd player, or the fact that you have a dvd of yourself talking to yourself :hmmm:

Re: Deep thoughts by Gabrujawaan…

Wait a minute mufti Anil, lot of messangers of Allah had long ages. Nooh :as: died after 900 years. Zakariya :as: had a baby at the age of 100. Ibrahim :as: had a very long life, himself. You think that they were all punsihed

I am going to punish myself by ignoring this comment of yours

Re: Deep thoughts by Gabrujawaan…

on serious note: punishment is a formless form of ones visuality.

Re: Deep thoughts by Gabrujawaan…

Can’t compare messengers of Allah rab-ul-izzat to ordinary folks like you and me.

Old age is all about struggle. Your body breaks down and thinking gets distorted.

p.s. it may come as a surprise but i have bones to pick with muftis, molvies, babas etc. too; but thats for a diff. thread.

kitty!!! you keep disappearing!

Re: Deep thoughts by Gabrujawaan....

I am equally scared of being left alone in life, of spending the old age on my own. :(

“And verily We sent Noah to his people, and he remained among them a thousand years less fifty: but the Deluge overwhelmed them while they (persisted in) sin.”
