if not, is there an alternative to beat leg cramps…paracetmol didnt work…
I get leg cramps , I used to get it during my pregnancy too. From my own experience I feel that it is directly related to the strength of your body. If your body is lacking some nutrients or if you are getting weak you get cramps. They can be very painful. I suggest you talk with your Dr , eat healthy , make sure your body is having all the daily nutrients it needs.
31 weeks?how come....im 30 weeks now and am scared stiff of the whole birth thing, and then having to look after a baby.....its all well now that its only in my belly, but when reality hits i think il hit the fan :/
hmmm I had premature rupture of membrane (PROM) due to severe infection in my body...khair .....yeh to abb purani baat ho gayee hai :)
yes looking after your baby requires alot of mental and physical strength ....the first 3 months are tough no doubt aboutit ......but ask your husband to help you with the baby.
i m also having these leg cramps n my doc said when u lay in bed 4 sleep do lil bit exercise of legs like moving ur toes round n round n moreover before sleep just have massage with oil it will give u good sleep
I've been getting them too and they get so bad at bed time that some nights it's hard to fall asleep. My doctor suggested stretching and that helps sometimes.
These types of leg/feet cramps happen when you’re body is lacking some sort of vitamin. Usually during pregnancy, our bodies have a lack of calcium as the baby takes a lot of it from you. Try drinking a lot more milk during the day, and especially before you go to bed.
I noticed that if I have a glass of milk before bed, I don’t get cramps while I’m asleep.
And dang! Those cramps really do hurt. Especially the ones in your legs Just stretch out your leg, with your toes pointed forward. That usually helps take the cramp away.
PS - I've never used any of those sprays that you're talking about. Haven't even seen anything like that. Try and figure out what's causing the cramps, and fix your diet, or increase your intake of a particular healthy food item that helps with the pain.
I remember those! they were horrible.
Guess what works...everytime you get them , sit up straight, and try to press the entire sole of your foot on the floor.Keep you foot flat on the floor until the cramps gone.It works everytime.
And yeah, up your banana and red meat intake.

yessss...!!
that's the only thing which worked for me,every time in my last trimester.
I used to get those cramps.... OMG, they were HORRIBLE. I had to get up and stand immediately or they wouldn't go away.
My OB/GYN told me to start taking Vitamin D (she said take 2000 IU)..... I'm taking 1000 IU daily besides the 400 IU in the prenatal vitamins, so taking 1400 IU in total and have also been eating bananas a lot (every other day) .... the cramps are gone :D
Nadz, ask your doctor to test your Vitamin D levels and you don't have to eat the banana at night, eat it any time during the day.... the potassium is supposed to help.
