After going through some of the threads here, it is really hurting to see people going through tough times in their life because of the faults of other people they come across in life. Mostly, people are hurt by the “words” of those who are related to them. I have seen some members here who give very good heart warming advice that helped in healing the wounds of my heart. Some of the posts I read here really raised my moral and lifted my spirit to not give up hope and keep trying. I wish I could collect all those posts in one thread so that every time I go through a difficult phase in life, I can always come back and read those posts again, but unfortunately I don’t remember the titles of those threads and those medicines (advices) that cures the diseases of a broken heart.
If you have any general advice or a specific one for the people who are suffering, please do share.
I once came across this poem, it helped me to overcome the poison of rude comments by few people around me.
If someone should hurt you
And say a thing unkind;
Remember that I write to you;
And keep these thoughts in mind.
For everyone that makes you cry
there are three to make you smile;
And a smile will last a long, long time,
a tear just a little while.
Don’t let someone who hates the world
cause you to hate it too,
Behind the clouds is a golden sun,
And a sky that’s full of blue.
If someone said a thing that’s cruel,
don’t let it get to you;
Your achievements are greatly numbered,
and your faults are very few.
So if a certain person should act a certain way,
Think of those who Love You.
And Don’t let it spoil your day!
words are sweet but so ineffective sometimes, most of the times rather. Not necessarily they will have the same effect over me and help me heal. But maybe the next poster will tell you they felt better. Thats with the words. They are so deceiving. Thanks for sharing anyway :)
^ JazakAllah Khair. Thanks everyone for sharing your views.
Any mental or physical pain is just a weakness leaving our body...to make us stronger & prepare us to face any tough task that is waiting for us in the near future.
I've found, the ones that have been through much in their own lives, begin to see the world in a different way. Compassion, understanding, love, and forgiveness can be found more readily in these individuals. The kindest people I know are the ones who have suffered much in life. Perhaps because they realize how tenuous and fragile life truly is.
