I live in pakistan. i had always wanted to get married outside in tents .. the really pretty ones that they have now with hanging lights and everything. but as luck would have it i am getting married in summer when ther’es also a high chance of heavy rains so i cant get married outside. Now i wanted to know how people decorate halls. like apart from stage ..what else can you do with a hall to make it pretty . Also, if you hav to get a really nice stage how much can it cost here in pakistan.

U can add a really pretty entrance with fresh flowers, decorated/colored lamps.. candles and floating shelves. Pretty centerpieces..

ok i get centre pieces and entrance? but where do u put floating candles and shelves.. also i was wonering if these wedding planners can decorate halls.. like just that ..since everything else will be taken care of.

You simple can’t do it all by yourself esp. in Karachi. The hall owners have a specific style and they tend to stick with it. I would recommend the wedding planners, H09170, if you have the budget. Your occasion will look unique and you’ll love the strees-free planning, I have the contact info of a few planners in Karachi. Contact them and tell them your specifications. I am sure someone out of them will suit your budget.

If you don’t want to hire the planners, do get in touch with the florists and involve them with the hall people. Most of the halls do have stages and decorations, tough.

My sister got married in TULIPS Lawn in Dec '08 and I had to literally scream at the hall decorators to change the stage and decorations. After going thru. an eye-opening event like that, I would vote for the planners.

oh my gosh H09170](http://www.paklinks.com/gs/members/h09170.html) u r speaking my heart out i so wanted Hanif rajput but everyone scared my mom n dad and now we r having it in a hall…i have thought of white and gold theme and round table set up will get the decorations done by the decoration wala and make sure everything is according to the theme i want although i would like to see some lights decoration inside the hall…the flowers wala do a good job at making zabardast centerpieces and stages really nice stages cost anywherefrom 8-20,000 plus

oh . i m not in karachi.. im in lahore. and do u think u can get an outside wedding planner to decorate halls? and in this picture.. see the two flower stand marking the pathway.. can the hall decoration people make things like this? also anyone knows what hall this is.. i think its royal palm lahore but im not too sure.

H09170 babes u know u can still get married outside in a tent yaara we have all these rainfree tents what dou call them there waterproof tents. u can get teh decoration done from Asia Tentage they are wonderful and i mean wonderful at decorating their cutlery their furniture jitna gur daloo gain utna meetha ho ga. i knwo for a fact that they are in khi im not sure about lhr. basically i knwo all about khi the stage walees and tentage waghera but find out if they operate in lhr get an appointment and meet them and then make yr decision :)
i feel with a hall u can also do so much but normally tehir are very few ppl willing to do so secondly the hall area is not big enough either u can decorate it or seat ppl in it

ok i dont know how good these tents are.. have u ever attented a wedding in one while it rained really hard outside.. because thats how it is in august. also with strong winds. i remmeber i went to this mehndi once.. im not sure what kind of tents they were ..but they decor was ereally pretty ..and then then it started raining. with the wind.. and the tents came dOWN !! their house was just across the ground so people ran towards it.. the other half towards their cars and went home.. the bride wouldnt come down because she was so upset.. and then they had a bit of rasam thing inside the house when they finally manged to bring her down. it was quite a mess
also i need to have an excellent system of airconditioning keeping in mind also keeping in mind the load sheding situation. i just thing theres toomuch stress involved in doing an august wedding in the tents.
you're right about the space thing though.. theres only so much u can do because halls are small. you cant even do round table in most..the only bigger halls that i can think of right now is royal palm and theres a new one in pearl continental lahore.. so yeah thats what i had in mind...

i have heard about a lot of bad rain stories too :/ anyways H0 u can call the outide decorators and they can bring in all their stands to do the flower decor and no by centrepeices i meant the decoration in the centre of the round tables if u r gonna have them

hey ho9170 there are water proof tents yaara tehy are sooooo there call up the ppl responsible and tehy will tell u technology aa gayein hein :)

other than thsi babes if u have pc then ure set there hall is pretty big and with decorations and all u can whatever u want with it

whens teh wedding coz u need to book pc now before its late babes

Yea nowadays there are water proof tents so it shouldn't b a prb..
but what about the Hot weather...I know they have really good heating systems in tent area but do they do Ac's too.?

yaar they also provide u with generators and airconditioners how ever much u need u just have to pay seprately for them

OMG what a nightmare, esp considering it's meant to be the most special day of ur life. I'd love to have an outdoor wedding with white lights everywhere and lillies floating in the pool but UK weather is even more dodgy so not sure if it's worth the risk...

To stay away from all that mess I think better to go to hall. They have generator in case of load shedding. No rain or wind will bring hall down.

You can request hall intezamia to decorate your way. Ask them by showing picture they might do that and charge you extra.

Hey ..try some event planners n talk 2 them.. maybe you will get everything under 6 lakhs...no harm in talking...my cousin getting married soon n she is thking of designing the stage from these planners only...she is thinking of iris wedding designers ...you can chk them out too...let us know ur developments???

Well decorating a hall includes many things such as the furniture, flooring, chairs arrangement. curtains, flowers decoration etc. The lighting effects completely changes the entire look of the hall.
