We have a new bride coming into our family in a week, and my aunt has given me the task to “decorate” her room. I have no idea what to do. The only thing that has come to my mind is putting a fresh bouquet of roses on her dresser in a pretty vase. Other than that I have no idea whatsoever…Has anybody ever decorated a room for a bride before?
Re: Decorating the room for a newlywed bride..
I think flowers, a pretty bedspread, coordinating curtains and a nicely put together bathroom (if they have thier own) should be nice. and of course a fresh clean smell.
Re: Decorating the room for a newlywed bride..
I was thinking of that too sara we bought a red embroidered bedspread from Macy’s today, so I was thinking of adding red floating candles in a decorative bowl, for one of the nightstands. unfortunately she will not be getting the privelege of her own bathroom, but I like the idea of matching curtains and a scented candle.

What about making a masehri (is that how you spell it?) I only learnt of this after it was made for me for my wedding 2 months ago! Decorating the area around the bed…
They put a big square of tinsel the size of the bed directly above the bed on the ceiling, then hang contrast-coloured beads vertically from the tinsel. Then take some of the beads and drape them from the outsides so that they meet in the centre, right above the middle of the bed. It looks lovely, we still have it!

petals on the bed… also little chocolates (heart ones or just married ones go down a treat).
On a side note- I also put some fresh fruit in a nice bowl and bottles of water in the room for my sis-in law just incase she was too shy to ask for a snack in the early days!!

I ended up using fresh flowers and ribbons to decorate. I had thought of the chocolates too but since I was on a time budget that morning it slipped my mind! I think the chocolates adds thoughtful touch.
