What is the average price for Stage decorations and center pieces. I am being quoted around $4000 for a two night event of stage decor and floating candle center pieces. I have attempted to negotiate but I am still being charged in the upper 3k range. Should I continue to negotiate or is this a decent price?
My wedding is in less than 2 months and I am already way over my budget.
So if anyone can guide me, I would greately appreciate it!!!
I got a quote from Design house. I dont think it is bad for the stage decor. But they are charging $30 for each centerpiece and I have 18 tables. And Im not too found of the center pieces they will just be the candles in a floating glass / bowl. Isn't that a bit pricey?
You can buy those at a discount store and have any of your family members help you!

My advice: have your decorator do the stage because that would be hard to do on your own and achieve the same professional look. A full flower centerpiece on each table through a designer costs at least $75 per centerpiece. If you don’t mind a simpler centerpiece like the one your designer suggested, you can easily do it yourself for way less than $30/centerpiece! I think $30/centerpiece for floating candles is absurd, here is how you can DIY:
Rose petals to scatter: fiftyflowers.com has minimum quantity of 6,000 rose petals for $130-$199 depending on the color, 6,000 petals is enough to scatter around the vases and to throw at the baraat as they enter.
If you don’t want gems/rose petals, you could do the sunken orchid in the vases with the floating candles on top–very popular these days. You can get 60 orchid stems (way more than you need for 18 tables) for $139 http://www.fiftyflowers.com/product/Bombay-Dendrobium-Orchids_27.htm
The key to the DIY is that you will need to show your friends/helpers how to prepare these in advance and you will need the manpower to execute the set up on the day of! Orchestrating this depends having reliable helpers, but you will save a ton!
