Re: Decision-making delays and glitches: reasons and outcomes
Caesar bhaijan. I don't believe the delay is that unusual. However, because the pre-election rhetoric was so anti-Musharaf by PPP and PML (N) that they have cornered themselves, and now trying to come out of this situation which is taking sometime.
I have been watching the most senior PPP leaders like Fahim, Shah Mahmood Qureshi, and Zardari. I have noticed that over the last one week they are becoming increasingly careful in their comments about President Musharaf and even conciliatory, while all the time they are distancing themselves from confrontational policies. For example, yesterday Zardari came out nd said that there will be an alliance between PPP, PML (N), ANP, MQM and JUI. The latter two parties are generally regarded as pro-Musharaf and I have no doubt that in a week or so time he may also rope in elements of PML (Q).
