DECEPTIONS OF BEAUTY

I found this story on some website…its pretty interesting n tragic at the same time :frowning:

“Ladies and gentlemen, today we shall be performing our first autopsy,” said Dr. Asif, in his nasal monotone. With a flick of his hand, the white cloth that enshrouded autopsy case no.1 was flung onto the floor, to reveal a young girl in her mid teens.

Dr. Asif carried on, “Aliya, aged 15, was accidentally shot dead yesterday by her brother. He’s a policeman and was cleaning his gun when it happened.”
We eyed Aliya from head to toe. She was beautiful, to say the least. Her shoulder length, wavy auburn hair was piled at her side, adding to her grace. Her fair, smooth skin was imperfected only by the small entry wound of the bullet in the centre of her chest. Her eyes were shut and her motionless body radiated peace and innocence. Even the bravest of the students among us shook their bowed heads in agony.

As Dr. Asif’s scalpel touched Aliya’s scalp, I almost expected her to sit up and cry out in pain. But, over the next half hour, as I saw Aliya gradually being disintegrated, I reconciled myself with the ugly truth: Aliya was, indeed, dead.
Dr. Asif lingered on, “In Pakistan, the number of such accidental deaths has risen markedly over the years. Be careful next time you get a gun to college…” There were a few chuckles in the room, as the atmosphere became somewhat relaxed.

Aliya’s death, it turned out, was due to massive bleeding, as the bullet had passed straight through her right ventricle. My thoughts drifted towards Aliya’s family. Her brother, I thought, was the most unfortunate of them all. Having to live with the agony of that one moment for the rest of his life must be absolutely awful. Her parents would miss their lovely daughter forever. And poor Aliya. She had yet to witness real happiness in life - a marriage, children, and the chance to leave her mark in this world…

“Internal Examination of all the viscera is essential,” Dr. Asif mumbled, as he toyed with what looked like one of Aliya’s kidneys. “In females, you must also open up the uterus,” he carried on, as he gave a quick long snick to the uterine wall. There were gasps from among the female students as I squinted to make out the details of what looked like a large clot in the uterus: it was a miniature human being…

Re: DECEPTIONS OF BEAUTY

This doesn;t sound like a true story to me.

Re: DECEPTIONS OF BEAUTY

I dont know about this one but Ive read about a few stories very similar where a girl a sister or sisterin law/cousin / or servant have been "accidently" shot dead

two from India..one from Pakistan

Re: DECEPTIONS OF BEAUTY

interesting story, title is misleading though

Re: DECEPTIONS OF BEAUTY

hmm "accidently shot dead" and in autopsy found a fetus in the uterus of a 15 year old girl who was being used as a cadavre.

cadavres are usually homeless or John Does

Too sordid for my taste...

Re: DECEPTIONS OF BEAUTY

hmmm burning her would have been more efficient to erase the “shame”, as it is what her “accidental” death was about:(…what a screwed up world :grumpy:
